Southern born and raised on fried food and a somewhat sedentary life in the country, I developed a passion for weightlifting at 13 when I thought I wasn’t coordinated enough to do any other type of sport. I’ve been hooked ever since and healthy as can be at 53. After 20 years of being a paralegal, I decided to switch careers and share with others what I believe is the best medicine for all ailments, physical or mental. Since obtaining my personal training certification with American College of Sports Medicine in 2015, I have obtained certifications in nutrition, balance training, senior fitness, and yoga. In my free time, I like to exercise, read, try new vegan recipes, attend live music, spend time with my beautiful daughters, and spoil my golden retriever!
